At the same time, the aluminum core helps to quickly dissipate heat to maintain read speeds of up to 3000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 2500 MB/s when connected to a Thunderbolt 3 compatible system — meaning that you can transfer 50GB of data in about a minute. The PRO-G40 SSD also works with USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 devices at up to 1050 MB/s and 1000 MB/s read and write speeds, respectively, making it an ideal scratch drive for high-resolution editing and rendering.

This external SSD is pre-formatted APFS for macOS 10.13 or later systems and may be reformatted for Windows 10 or later. It is backed by a 5-year warranty.
